Vestal UMC encourages anyone who is eligible to apply for the following scholarships:
Faun Wakeman Memorial Scholarship
The Faun Wakeman Memorial Scholarship was established by the United Methodist Women in 1970 in the amount of $500 to be awarded to a High School graduate or graduates that meet the following requirements:
1. He or she must be a member of Vestal United Methodist Church
2. He or she must have participated (active and dependable) in a minimum of two church affiliated organizations or activities (youth, choir, nursery, missions trips, et.c) over and above regular Church and Sunday School attendance.
3. He or she must be accepted by an accredited four year college or accredited program of higher learning (two year vocational/technical or community college)
First consideration will be given to a student accepted for study in Christian Education.

Theological Scholarship
The Theological Scholarship Trust Fund was established in 1979 with initial grants in
memory of Bernard Pierson and Kenneth VanDervort. The Trust Fund provides a yearly scholarship to assist members or constituents of Vestal UMC who are candidates for
pastoral ministry, diaconal ministry, music ministry, or who are serving as missionaries.
Scholarships are awarded each June. Scholarship amount depends on number of qualified applicants.
